InEarZ (Fisher Hearing) Custom Remold Owner's Thread
I've got the PlusSound Bluetooth cable and it's nice. Battery life is decent, audio quality was very good for Bluetooth, much better than I had expected. I'm using it with reshelled UM2s. There are a few things to take not of before you order. The Bluetooth module is arranged such that it's...- JeffS

PLUSSOUND AUDIO - Introducing BLUETOOTH CUSTOM CABLES - Available for 2-PIN/CIEMs, MMCX, FitEar, Sennheiser, Audeze, and more
I have the same issue with the battery reporting 60% no matter what. It's kind of nice to know I'm not the only one, but still seems a bit off that it does that in the first place. I've never gotten the the 12 hours that they list on the website. I'm using them with Westone UM2 (reshelled by...- JeffS

Bluetooth Custom IEMs. Anybody offering them?
There is this: https://www.westone.com/store/music/index.php/accessories/bluetooth-cable.html Haven't read any reviews for it yet. Also it's only good if your customs use MMCX connectors. -Jeff- JeffS

Comfort Vs. Sound...
Comfort is important, but you can't sacrifice on sound quality. On the flip side you can't enjoy sound quality if you're not comfortable. I'll second what another poster said and put in a recommendation for Comply foam tips. However if you're really serious with IEMs the only way to go is...- JeffS

Etymotic 4 pro
Check out the In-Earz thread. http://www.head-fi.org/t/464570/inearz-fisher-hearing-custom-remold-owners-thread They remold iems into full customs. I just had it done with my Weston UM2s and am thinking about having them do my er-6is. I know the er-6i isn't considered as high...- JeffS

InEarZ (Fisher Hearing) Custom Remold Owner's Thread
Just tossing in my 2 cents. I've had my UM2 reshells for about a month now, and it is the best thing I ever did. I got them with the fischer cable, I'm not sure if the westone cable would make a difference. So far When I plugged them into my setup, the sound was amazing. I had UM56...- JeffS

Broken Westone UM1 IEM's
I've had Westone UM2s re-shelled out of warranty and it wasn't very expensive. I would give a call over to them and explain your situation. I think the shipping will be the most expensive part of your ordeal. Good luck -Jeff- JeffS

InEarZ (Fisher Hearing) Custom Remold Owner's Thread
Hi all, I just found this thread after being off of Head-Fi for a while. I'm now thinking about having two pairs of IEMs reshelled into customs, and have an email with a few questions into the address listed on the inearz page. In the mean time I'm been going through the thread and this...- JeffS

Custom IEM Impressions Tomorrow-- Bite Block?
I'm planning on getting impressions soon for new custom tips. Last time my audiologist had me just relax my jaw and my fit was not really good. When I had them refit he had me hold my mouth open as wide as I could for the entire time. Obviously holding my mouth open does not relax the jaw and...- JeffS

Which company for custom tips?
Hi all, I had custom tips for my UM2s but my ears have changed enough over the years that they aren't fitting that well any more. Since I need to get new impressions done to get new ones I figured I find out if there are any suggestions on who is making the best eartips? I've read about...- JeffS

Advice for shipping vinyl please
I'm helping to move my MIL out to NV to live with her son. My wife and I just got through clearing out here storage unit, and there are like 5 or 6 boxes of old albums packed full. I want to send them out there, but don't know how to make sure they will travel well. Are there any special...- JeffS

Snoring and custom ear tips???
I totally understand the weight thing. My wife and I started working about a couple of years ago, and I dropped 50 pounds. I've put a little back on since though. The volume of the snoring was a little better, but still quite loud she claims. I haven't dared to give her my decibel meter to...- JeffS

Snoring and custom ear tips???
Actually I've had two sleep studies (though sleeping is not easy during them). Both concluded that I don't have sleep apnea, but primary snoring. The real downside for me is that since there is no diagnosis of sleep apnea, my insurance says I'm on my own, so it's all out of pocket. I...- JeffS

Snoring and custom ear tips???
Hi all, I snore. I snore badly. It's enough that the wife has insisted that something must be done about it. I don't blame her, but the least invasive method is a jaw positioner. Basically it's like a bite plate but it forces the lower jaw forward. I'm not doing one from the drugstore, or...- JeffS
