    Review: Violectric HPA V200 amp

I keep my DAC-2's volume at 56 and I use the dip switches of the V200 to make it -6 db, I believe... This allows most music to become loud around the 3 o'clock position, with quieter music I can turn it all the way up and it is just over the point where it is too loud.

Quote: Yeah, I was surprised too. I had not seen a box like mine. I was also surprised to see the logo underneath the clear coat. Very nice.

    Review: Violectric HPA V200 amp

Received my LCD-2's on Tuesday. I'm liking them a lot so far, though they are much less "upfront" than Grados. (I would imagine most things are). The DAC-2 should arrive tomorrow, and the V200 should be here sometime next week (it shipped today).   So far my ibasso D10 is driving the LCD-2's...

Mapletree Ear+ HD SuperII vs. Headphone Amp in Decco2

I have already order the LCD-2, Violectric V200, and Wyred 4 Sound DAC-2. I don't have the opportunity to try out many headphones and gear before I buy them, so I took a chance with the LCD-2. Frihed - what headphones do you think are not a fad, and are, say, "timeless" ?

WarriorAnt. I've been in the same predicament as you, definitely want an LCD-2 but wasn't sure about the rest of the rig. Decided today that I'm going to get the DAC-2 and V200. We'll have to compare impressions when everything arrives.

Mapletree Ear+ HD SuperII vs. Headphone Amp in Decco2

I think the reason I'm looking to go with the lcd-2 is I woul really like to try a different sounding pair of headphones. Getting the rs1's woul still keep me in the grado area. As far as the bandwagon with the lcd-2, there must be something good about them where a lot of reputable people call...

Mapletree Ear+ HD SuperII vs. Headphone Amp in Decco2

I've actually changed what I am going to get. I am not looking for an LCD-2 setup. So something more like this:   LCD-2 Some amp that goes well with the LCD-2 Decco2   Not sure if I'm going balanced yet, but I'd like to get an amp with both single ended and balanced so I have the...

Mapletree Ear+ HD SuperII vs. Headphone Amp in Decco2

Why is it so hard to drive the LCD-2's? Isn't the impedance on them around 50 Ohms?

Peachtree iNova or iDecco as headphone amp

I'm not sure about the iDecco, but the Nova and the Decco2 have the same headphone amplifiers from what I've read.

Mapletree Ear+ HD SuperII vs. Headphone Amp in Decco2

Unless something else comes up or someone else changes my mind, I'm looking at getting:   Grado rs1i Sennheiser HD 650 Peachtree Audio Decco2 Mapletree Audio Design Ear+ HD Super II   Jesus, this will be about half of what my car is worth, lol.

Mapletree Ear+ HD SuperII vs. Headphone Amp in Decco2

The USB problem it has really ruins it for me. I'll have the rig plugged into a laptop for some of the time. Plus, if I ever wanted to add some nice bookshelf speakers to the setup, the Decco2 would be a nice little thing to have.
