How long do Comply tips last?
I've stretched them to 2 months (T-400) before they become far too squishy.- huy_ha

Pictures of Your Portable Rig [Part XI]
On the earwarming scale, the A900 gets an 8 out of 10, but only because they're sometimes too big to get a hood around. Bettered only by the MDR-7506, so far.- huy_ha

Am I crazy or just deaf?
Are you doing all or most of your auditioning with one headphone from each set in your ear? Sorry, I couldn't tell from your post how or if you're switching between the two. The super.fi sounds incredibly different with only one phone in your ear (which I know from taking one out to talk to the...- huy_ha

Super.fi 5 Pro & Creative EP630
That's right, UE super.fi 5pro. The 3 didn't exist when I purchased the 5.- huy_ha

Super.fi 5 Pro & Creative EP630
I've tried both (currently using super.fi 5pro) and the fit is entirely different. The over the ear feature of the super.fi is not too obtrusive and the body of the IEM is quite light. Other than the trailing wire over the ear, I don't find them to be any bulkier than earbuds (though the stick...- huy_ha

Comply T-400 tips and UE super.fi 5pro
I've been using the same pair of T-400 tips for just over a month now. That's daily usage (at least 5 days a week) which amounts to about 3 hours a day. Curiously, the more you use the tips, the squishier they become, slowly losing elasticity. The stock UE foam tips, for me, got more rough or...- huy_ha

I found a Headphone Stand at ACE Hardware
I'm using this thing from BB&B: Bed Bath & Beyond Product It's the Spectrum™ Euro™ Mug Tree. Good for two pairs of headphones and at least two wound extensions.- huy_ha

Lou Reed talks about the crappy SQ of mp3's
I don't quite understand why there is so much negativity shown when a musician, or anyone who cares about sound quality, points out that people are choosing convenience over quality, which I took to be the meaning behind Lou Reed's statement in that article. We, here at head-fi, spend gobs of...- huy_ha

UE Super.fi 5 Pro
Like other IEMs, the super.fis need a good seal. If you like the foam style tips, you might check out the Comply T-400 tips. They're more comfortable and get a better seal, for me, than the supplied tips. Have fun...- huy_ha

Comply T-400 tips and UE super.fi 5pro
I just received a ten pack of Comply T-400 after they confirmed compatibility with super.fi 5pro. I had problems getting a good seal with the provided UE tips. The silicon medium tips were merely all right. The seal was good when it was good, but easily lost when stepping off of a curb or...- huy_ha

Trekstor Vibez Remote
In case anyone's interested, here's a snapshot of the Vibez remote next to the player itself and a pair of super.fi 5 pro headphones so you can get a sense of relative size. The remote is handy, especially since the wheel is touchy. The remote does work when the Vibez is locked. It also...- huy_ha

Ergonomic Solution for Trekstor Vibez
Hmmm...perhaps not many Vibez owners yet? I tried the rubber band thing. Unfortunately, the cardinal points are also sensitive, so just the regular commute in the pocket of my jeans resulted in fast forwarded and rewound tracks the whole time, especially while walking. That worked a little...- huy_ha

Ergonomic Solution for Trekstor Vibez
What I forgot to mention is that this purchase would be for the impatient (i.e. me). Trekstor has two cases, a "skin" case and a "stretch" case that are supposed to come out. I got tired of waiting, since they've also been sitting on the docking station, video card, and the remote for a while...- huy_ha
