Burson V6 Vivid and V6 Classic Discrete Audio Opamps Discussion and Reviews
I got mine yesterday. I've placed them in my Gustard H10 (vivid, 2 dual and 2 single). Even without burn-in they're amazing. So much better than the stock opamps. I've used the v5s before and (from memory) these are much livelier, smoother, with a larger soundstage.- hma101

Does anyone use mog?
I'm also a little fed up with MOG's browser app. I stumbled upon Sony music unlimited. It's bitrate is 320 AAC as of January, and it sounds AMAZING! Their prices are similar to MOG ($5 for desktop, $10 for desktop+mobile). They also seem to have an (slightly) bigger selection than MOG, but I... -
XM6 + OPA627?
I bought mine from Newark.com, just b/c I've bought from them before. Price is $30 each, but like I said before probably around $70 for both out the door. Here's the link: ...- hma101

XM6 + OPA627?
Update: I bought another pair of opa627 from newark.com. The chips were more expensive ($70 for two 8pin, out the door price). After listening to both pairs, one purchased from ebay the other from the above dealer, I have to conclude that the ebay pair is a counterfeit. While...- hma101

XM6 + OPA627?
I just got my 627s in the mail yesterday. They sound WAY better than the 134. Better detail, imaging, attack and low end punch. It sounds like the 134 but with more resolution. The only thing I can say about the 134 is that it sounds a little deeper, but again I think that's a result of the...- hma101

Does anyone use mog?
I've been using MOG now for a year now using a high-end rig (msII+>rxmkII>jh13) and am very happy with the service. I tried rhapsody, but their catalog at the time was not completely 320. Spotify uses OGG 320, which at that bitrate sounds horrendous compared to mp3 320. I couldn't stand... -
Android devices compatible with USB DAC Audio-out
Yes, I saw that thread but the information is very fragmented. The info is spread out over many posts. I was hoping we can have all the info in one place, and maybe compile it into a wiki.- hma101

Android devices compatible with USB DAC Audio-out
Hi, I couldn't find such a list anywhere so I wanted to create a resource for people to post android devices that can run USB DAC. So far, I was able to get Nexus 7 tablet to run my Practical Devices XM6, and a cheap-o USB audio plug-and-play device. To do this, I had to: Buy an OTG...- hma101

Chrishimself Ipod LOD review
Background: The first amp I started out with was the cMoy amp. Connected to my Ipod LOD with a Fiio cable, it sounded pleasing and nonfatiguing, but couldn't get over the fact that it sounded a little more distorted than out of my Ipod headphone out jack. Thinking it was a limitation of my...- hma101

Ultimate Ears Triple Fi 10 Thread
Quote: Get the right aftermarket cable and the "muddiness" is eliminated. With Chrishimself's recable, they sound pretty good. While lacking the accuracy of the SM3, I still prefer them - the forward midrange of the SM3s makes for an unnatural soundstage. The tf10s are definitely gives a...- hma101

Ultimate Ears Triple Fi 10 Thread
Quote: I've used the sm3 almost exclusively for almost a year now. A month ago I went back to the TF10s and found them to be much more to my liking. To me the SM3 mids were too forward, tf10 sounds more open. I'm also using this cable though, which helps open up the sound and clean up the...- hma101
