IMO, 256 AAC is pretty close / close enough for most people.. but the fact is that there's always a loss.  Depending on who you ask, the equipment they use, etc. - everyone will give you a different answer...   For the same / similar cost, why not just buy the actual CD / buy a FLAC download...
