These are not like the Gold Planar GL1200 or the Raal Requisite SR1a, both of which require speaker amplifiers to drive them. I drove them with a Marantz HD-DAC1. Any normal headphone amp with a decent amount of power should be able to drive them, although to what levels would vary.
