    Colorfly C4 in 2013/4 - still relevant?

Never had that with XLD, check the parameters for bits and MHz, that they are the same as the original. Try XLD as rip app.

Little bit off topic, but I use ClickRepair. A nice app for a Mac

No lag at all. Battery life still good, though I wish I could replace it for one with more capacity. And no issues what so ever after 3 years of intensive use. Besides the known interface bugs it’s a solid machine. I never had a better portable device before

Hi there Bastunas, good you bought a C4. I had problems first too with gapless play. The .wav/.cue combi works for me. Just to be sure, are you using an Apple computer? Then you must format the micro SD as a DOS FAT32 disc (and to get it even better use the little program Eject for Windows). For...

The C4 is in my opinion still a damn good music player. I have owned it now for years and it never let me down. The mids and high are so impossible detailed. The bass rolls of for me at the right frequence. It supports the music the way it should. Battery life hasn't deminish a bit and last for...

In ears, never really tried a serious set. somehow I cannot believe that in ears could ever fit perfect. And I don't see the reason, because on- and over are allright with me in all situations...

I hardly noticed a decrease of the buttons. Non in fact. When you click to fast you have to repeat the clicks every now and then, thats all. I own the C4 two years now and use it pretty intens (but with Tidal I do have a concurrent!)

Still absolutely happy with this marvelous sound device. Never heard better (to be honest i am a great admirer of the Cirrus DAC, also present in my Marantz cd-player), period. Only comment is batterylife. Don't dare to change it for a better though. Even nowadays i would recommand it, that...

I guess it depends on what you are used to. The GUI is kind of technical (not for me but I can imagine that people with non IT background might have problems with it). But with proper tools its easy to rip cd's straight to the sd card (with cardreader) or to copy high res files on it. I always...

Yeah well, you know. The style is ok for me. At least it is a unique style. What matters more in that case of its functional within, which it is most definitaly. I found the volume slider much much better than any meter i have ever used.

Not exactly much to see. Read on another site (mp4nation) that the same Cirrus dac will be used, which is great. And the amazing good working volume slider from C4 is prolongued in the new X(?). Exciting! Enjoy the C4 intensively, these guys know a lot about what really matters, ultimate...

Well, the WAV-format is not a backdrop for me, because I already used that format for a long time. Besides, using XLD I make a WAV/CUE in 3 minutes from a CD. Storage is no problem too with a 3TB hdd and 64Gig mini sd. About 20 to 30 records on my Colorfully is more than enough for quit a while...
