    Opeth- Ghost Reveries in 5.1

Ahh jeese, Opeth going down the same road as all those other "underground, all of a sudden famous" bands....selling out to make a quick buck. Darn, some of their stuff is down right brilliant. I almost picked the 5.1 up until I read the post. It is nice though, to see that there are...

Are you tone deaf? Online Test

percentile not a conclusive test for tone recognition. I was also told during my time in regional and state honors choirs to have excellent pitch recognition. This is a test to match patterns, not tones. Some cross tones were thrown in at frequencies that would make your concentrate on them...

How do amps improve sound quality? Someone here must know.....

The simplest answer that was given to me way back when.... Amplification of a source signal does not increase volume, but creates the power necessary to drive a signal at different levels. (huh) Let me try to explain: A speaker rated at 250W, if pushed by an amp that only delivers 100W...

    PayPal Colostomy

Update? 10/31/06-called PayPal again, because Ray still could not access the funds. Of course, the funds were still on hold. Talked to the "resolution department", who insisted that I sign on to PayPal, and send another email from their website authorizing the release of funds. I insisted...

    PayPal Colostomy

I should have just ordered through Todd's site. I would probably already have the Rator sitting on my rack. TTVJ had it in stock, with the upgraded power supply, just beggin' for me, but I wanted to do business directly with Ray. Patience is running as thin as a coat of fresh ice on the old pond.

    PayPal Colostomy

Decided to start this thread in the general area, since it fell under a couple of areas. This kind of stuff only happens to me: I contacted Ray Samuels, in order to have an Emmeline II Raptor built. His website was messed up, his regular email is bombarded and the answers don't come as...

    Headphone amp with digital input?

You may like to look at the Headroom site. They have the Micro Amp and the Desktop Amp series that have DAC built in. Looks like the Micro Amp would need a converter of some sort to accept the digital signal, but the Desktop series has all sorts of upgrades available for DAC's Their sales...

    Music Hall Cd25.2

I certainly can say that I am very impressed with the sound quality. All of the reviews helped steer my decision. They were right on the money. I would have to believe that the laser might have been whacked out of allignment during transit....All I can invision now, is Jim Carrey in Pet...

    Music Hall Cd25.2

Anyone else with this problem? CD25.2 disc read errors all over the place. Not just XRCD2, or the CD layer of an SACD, but, brand new, fresh out of the package, aluminum CD's. No challenge, I am sending it back. So, looking around at the forums, I see that there are actually people out...

The official Tuberoller sanctioned "Todd the Vinyl Junkie" Butt kiss thread

I am not normally a butt kisser, or a brown noser. I must say, my dealings with Todd so far have been right on. I, myself, can not reply to email faster than he. Lightning quick are you. yes, the force for good, you use ?
