great thread. i was listening to Cosmos Factory when someone here mentioned CCR, but I couldn't classify them as southern despite the swamp boogie feel of their music. I'll have to try out the Bottlerockets, based on the several recommendations here!

early black oak arkansas should be considered. and does johnny winter count? certainly some very good stuff from him that needs consideration. i saw both Allmans and Skynyrd in concert various times (grew up in nashville). the allman brothers were a notch above as far as concert performances...

hi all - new here. is there any way to find out what the nominal impedance of a pair of sennheiser hd 400 is? I found where the newer version is rated at 32 ohms, but I thought the older, original version from the 80s was a high impedance headphone. I ask, because I get hum from my headphone...
