Thanks for the tube info, Thaddy.  I agree that listening to it stock is a good idea.  I figured if I would get a shopping list of preferred tubes then I could make some purchases over time whenever I see a good price.

Xaval, Yes the C-J was nice.  I was sad to see it go; it was my first high-end purchase. Am not familiar with Beresford.  That DAC also has a HA, so I feel I would be paying for a feature that I do not need.  But, thanks for the info.
