How do the mdh9000 and its clones compare to the AKG Y50? As they're sold for the same price in UK, at 50 GBP.

i just updated my favorite music genres in the first post :)   btw, i heared some Rush songs with the dt880 premium with some crazy ass expensive dac and tube amp, and the electric guitar sounded like a vuvuzela to me. they were much better with classical music.

thanks for your input, i'll buy an L7 if i'm buying something other than e09k. i couldn't find a fiio e9 which can be shipped to my country for a lower price the an e09k, which is 120$ at www.mp4nation.com. so price wise, the fiio e09k, objective2 and magni would cost very much close to each...

so, i already have a fiio e17 and a beyerdynamic dt880 premium 250 ohm. the question is: in a price range of up to 150 USD, should i now buy a fiio e09k, a schiit magni, Objective2 or something else?     my favorite music genres: classical, jazz, progressive rock/metal.

bump     i got my jaycar fa-003 clones a few days ago... i'm really lost in finding a nice dac+amp for them and the grado sr80...   yulong u100, fiio e17, matrix m-stage+dac, hifiman ef-2a... i have zero idea which way to go. only thing i know is i need a nice dac+amp for cheap.  ...

got my jaycars today! horrible sound in the beginning, then after 7 hours of burn-in, very revealing and enjoyable. clamping is agonizing, does it get better over time? overall, extremely different than my grado sr80, still have to get used to them.. now i need a nice dac+amp, waiting for...

I'm not into DIY because I don't have enough time and/or understanding. On the other hand, I have two engineers in my family who might find it doable, if only it were not written in Hungarian.

The headphone out on the old Akai stereo is realy bad, and I forgot to mention that I also have grado sr80. As for hdmi audio from a video card - mine does it. Furthermore, dealextreme ran out of e10's, and I can't find another place with the same price that send to Israel for free/cheap. As...
