You nailed it. Once I did scans in Android Mango mode of both the music stored in internal memory and on the microSD I got glorious music by BT with the Bathys. Right now I don't want to screw up a good thing and I have the DX260 and Bathys burning in. Eventually I will see if this changed...

I think your issue and mine are similar. There is something about Mac/Apple and Android that creates issues.
