GRADO PS2000e MINI REVIEW........
I've had some time over the holidays to put some millage on the PS2Ke's. I've also been able to compare them to other headphones in my collection. Mind you, my observations here are specifically geared to classical music fans, which is almost exclusively what I listen to. In addition to the...- figaro69

GRADO PS2000e MINI REVIEW........
I don't cease to be amazed by the detail, elegance, smoothness, and clarity of these headphones. These headphones were MADE for classical music. I much prefer the PS2Ks to the Utopias (limited soundstage) and HD800s (huge unnatural soundstage) when it comes to classical music. Grado has never...- figaro69

GRADO PS2000e MINI REVIEW........
I've searched high and low for the weight of the PS2000es, but it appears to be a state secret since no reviewer (not even the Grado website) ever lists it. They feel heavier than the PS1000s and I stand by my comment. Changing the headband to a wider (and slightly thicker) one and changing...- figaro69

Shure KSE1500 Review - Shure KSE1500 Sound Isolating Electrostatic Earphones
Will keep tinkering with it. It does not want to play nice with my Samsung Galaxy phone either (lots of hissing and distorting).- figaro69

Shure KSE1500 Review - Shure KSE1500 Sound Isolating Electrostatic Earphones
Recently got the KSE 1500s. I had great hopes, as I am a Shure fan (i.e., still own the 846s and 530s, which I have greatly enjoyed throughout the years). I am not sure that the KSE 1500s are much better than the 846s. I'm thinking that it's not the fault of the headphones per se, but rather...- figaro69

GRADO PS2000e MINI REVIEW........
Recently purchased the Grado PS2000e headphones. I have used them for about 25 hours for the past week. I've never been much of a believer regarding the effects of burn-in other than one's ears getting used to the sound peculiarities of new headphones. The gear used to drive the PS2000es are...- figaro69

JH Audio Layla Impressions Thread
I own both the Shure 846 and JH Laylas. I recently purchased the ALO Continental V5 portable amp, which happens to be the best portable amp I've ever heard. I may be a dissenting voice here, but to my ears the Shures are much better sounding than the Laylas. The Laylas sound kind of diffuse...- figaro69

Introducing the new Continental V5 portable tube amp
Wonderful sound with the Shure SE846 IEMs being driven by the V5. The Shures have never sounded better. By the way, I cannot detect even a hint of hiss even at rather loud listening levels!- figaro69

Introducing the new Continental V5 portable tube amp
Received mine today. I have many portable headamps and it always seemed like I had to compromise on sound with my on-the-go rig. Not anymore. Best sounding portable amp I've ever heard. Really small compared to the Continental V2 I bought several years ago. I've loved the V2 for a long time...- figaro69
