Thanks,finally I got sm3.Sounds very flat and neutral,high clarity,extended sound,but, not vivid.................... sounds different from UM3x that I had heard 1 years ago.transparency,peaceful,but again,not vivid....Maybe i am influenced by E-Q7.......

UM3x WRC version or SM3?Which will be better? I heard that this version sounds better than the original UM3x.Any idea if it is in the same level as Earsonics SM3(SM3 is more expensive than UM3x in my region.Not sure if it worth me to pay extra 40pounds)? Thanks   BTW,i have tried UM3x...

If the digital output is not in RCA type then it should not be coaxial.It won't work even if you use 3.5 to RCA-------because it should be optical(or custom-defined interface but seems not possible) As far as I know that the HP dock for notebook have a coaxial output.not familiar with your type...

Keep away from ASUS' digital output,but the analog stage is decent

I think the improvement should be significant as long as you keep away from its digital output

0404usb have a less powerful analog output stage,and to use its digital output is also difficult,is there anything good left????...........oh I almost forget the only shining point for this product is its powerful Mic Amp.Open it and check the PCB if you don't believe it
