If it's the same as the V20 which I'm sure it is, the dac panel can turn high impedance mode on/off - for any headphone type whether low or high impedance. You can't do that on stock. You should notice higher volume though your headphones. The Hi-Fi status app won't work on LOS, it's redundant...

Right, no worries, but since you can read that output, is my v20 on LOS 21 working as it would as on stock rom? Can you tell that from the output? Actually I could test that myself as I have another V20 on stock pie so can just compare the output from both.

Because it's superior to all the rest?! I just installed LOS 21 on it where the dac is working as good as stock! Think I'll be sticking with it despite the camera doesn't work well but at least I get better battery life.

Those were helpful. So I thought the filters were some kind of equalizer type thing but it seems they are for improving the quality of the analogue signal i.e lessen interference/distortion etc. So I'm barking up the wrong tree by disabling them in the driver.

I've heard several times that there will be no further updates for the V50/s G8 etc. I have the Korean variant V50 and I'm hoping they might make an exception for that one because LG did in fact upgrade the Korean V20 to A9 and left all the other US/EU variants on A8. It's a very small hope...
