Hiby R6 Pro - serious upgrade to popular DAP

Anyone managed to resolve bluetooth headset issues with the R6 Pro? I recently got the Sony XM4 but unable to get the R6 Pro to recognize it. I will pair up with the headset, but won't recognize it as a headphone device. It will also not connect to it. :frowning: I do have a Bose Soundlink...

Ultimate Ears Triple Fi 10 Thread

I've recently lost my TF10 metal case. Logitech doesn't let me buy a replacement (I guess they don't make it anymore). Anyone got good case replacement suggestions?

Quote: As per previous posts in the thread....no. All US variance of GS3 does NOT have Wolfson. They use a build-in dac from Qualcomm

    Android 4.1 FINALLY USB Audio

Nice find!   I guess the only way to find out is to plug a USB-DAC onto the Galaxy Nexus (w/ 4.1) and see what happens   Too bad I have a Galaxy S2 and Samsung probably will not be porting 4.1 over to it any time soon. Can only hope the XDA community can release something useable soon.

    Android 4.1 FINALLY USB Audio

Yes finally!   So far there's no indication that they are using a standard for digital output...it could be its own standard with API calls through Android Open Accessory Development Kit   But nonetheless..this is great news.   EDIT: Just looked up the ADK website...

Wolfson DAC confirmed for Galaxy S3!

Hopefully USB audio would work for this new phone!! If it does then it may actually tempt me to get away from my SGS2.

    La Figaro 339

Quote: No unfortunately....the box arrived in a bad shape. The protective foam was falling apart and one of the driver tubes actually broke.  So I did not keep the box.

I may have to move residence in the short future. What do you folks recommend to protect my 339 while moving? I plan on unplugging my tubes and store them separately..but I'm not sure the best way to pack the amp itself especially since it is rather heavy.

    La Figaro 339

I have a DT990/250 and when I first got the LF339 it gave off a bit of hum on the left channel...but after the tubes are burned in the hum went away. So just give a few days and it should be fine. And yes I agree...the amp is really powerful.

Open headphones in the $100 - $200 range

I have the DT990 (250ohm) and they are very comfortable and suitable for all-around general use. I managed to pick it up from Amazon on sale for approx $200...so if you are patient you may be able to get a good deal too. What kind of sound card do you have? It would be a good idea to borrow...

Review: Yulong D100 DAC/amp - reference quality with a reasonable price

Quote:   After playing around with different settings I believe the noise is being picked up by my RCA cables. I am still disappointed because I made the cables myself and I was sure the shielding is soldered on properly. I moved the DAC around and found a location that is slightly less...

Review: Yulong D100 DAC/amp - reference quality with a reasonable price

I got my Yulong D100 recently and have hooked it up to my PC yesterday. I noticed that I am picking up computer noise even though I am connected through toslink. So for example if I am scrolling down a webpage on Firefox I'd hear noise through my headphone. If I turn off the D100 I do not hear...

    La Figaro 339

Quote:   I don't have DV337 so can't compare. I am just quoting the weight from the FedEx packing sheet. But it does feel closer to 11kg than 15kg when I'm holding the amp in my hands. Since there is no pre-amp output for the 339 I guess there are less components and thus less weight.

    La Figaro 339

After hearing the excellent review and feedback on this thread, I have purchased a 339 directly from Yuking. The amp arrived pretty quickly to Canada through FedEx, although there was some initial delay in getting the amp to travel from Sichuan, China (where Yuking is located) to Hong Kong for...
