    Woo Audio WA5/WA5 LE owners

XLR is converted to SE internally, I would just do SE input

    Woo Audio WA5/WA5 LE owners

Thanks for confirming. Mike at Woo said it's normal too. It is still strange why Woo implemented this way.

    Woo Audio WA5/WA5 LE owners

I can hear noise from the headphone connected to WA5LE v2 even if the amp is powered OFF. I am using HD800S with HP Power L, impedance H, level L. If I switch HP Power to H, the noise is gone. This noise always persists even if I remove all tubes after powering off the amp. This is not from the...

Sennheiser HD800 Certificate for Frequency Response Arrived

Just got my HD800 cert. SN: 09xxx. Seems mine still has the nasty 6K peak.

    Hotrodding the X-Fi: A Layman's Guide (No 56k)

Just put my fully modded X-Fi for sale on ebay: Creative SoundBlaster X-Fi Elite PCI Sound Card Modded - eBay (item 300329902540 end time Jul-19-09 15:39:43 PDT) I have built an external DAC and now only need a sound card with good quality SPDIF digital out, so I switched to E-MU 1212M (only...

    Little Dot MKIII Tube Rolling

The heater pin for 6H30 is pin 4 and pin 5. You can see 6H30Pi datasheet here. MK III also uses unregulated AC for 6AK5 heater, so you might also need to put a resistor in. I haven't tried that yet, but rough calculation is about 3-4ohm for 6AK5. 6AK5 heater pin is pin 3 and pin 4. The MK...

    Review of Little-Dot MKIVse

Just report the story of my continuing mod for MK IV. MK IV uses unregulated AC for 6H30Pi heater, so put a resistor of 1 - 1.2ohm in series is absolutely necessary if you are using 110V AC version but your AC is actually 120V. For 6AK5 heater, it uses a 7805 + 2 IN4001 on the ground to...

    Little Dot MKIII Tube Rolling

Just report the story of my continuing mod for MK IV and MK III... Edit: Not mean to hijack the tube rolling thread, I moved my MK IV mod to MK IV SE review thread here, since the mod is not necessarily related to the tube rolling requirement and more MK IV specific. And I finally take...

    Review of Little-Dot MKIVse

I am not blaming Little Dot, with USD:RMB exchange rate dropping to 6.8 comparing to 7.3 a year ago, the manufacture will have to cut some cost if they choose not to raise the item price here in US. I will upgrade all caps and resistors myself to have better matched pairs anyway. :-)
