Solo 3 wireless-- anyone getting them/got them?

was never a beats fan, always scoffed at them, minus some head clamp, I love my solo 2 wireless-- great sound,   Anyone have a solo3 to compare? I know w1 chip allows 40h vs 12h on solo2, but wondering if there's audio improvements/comfort improvements

i finally removed the grills on my couple year old he-400's   love the lack of reverberation!   im not savvy enough to make more porous grills, will keeping them off damage them in any way?    if dust gets in, will they live?   this and jergpads are amazing   still love these cans so much

Beats Solo 2: Is the Head-Fi community willing to give these a fair chance?

I can see how people have issues with the build, but I like the ear pads, fold up'ed ness, simplified pause/play vol + and - stuff compared to my RS180's I demo'd, and the headband reminds me of when I demo'd HD650 before switching to the hifiman dark side. Definitely head clamp force around my...

Beats Solo 2: Is the Head-Fi community willing to give these a fair chance?

This is perhaps the most exciting part about it for me, once the standard is set-- no going back!   Main stream+quality at last!

Beats Solo 2: Is the Head-Fi community willing to give these a fair chance?

got RS180 Sennheiesers for a bday gift.   folks didnt realize it required the transceiver, so returned it and got solo 2 wireless after Tyll's recommendation and being not many bluetooth headphone options that are out there.   Gotta say, I'm floored. Got a great deal on the blue pair on...

so sorry that i don't keep up well at all on this thread, but anyone with modular jergpads and focus pads can you compare comfort and sound signature? would be much appreciated.   im partial to my modular jergpads for the good while i've had them, they are so satisfying paired with o2/odac. my...

the focus pads look interesting! velour on contact w ears and pleather otherwise seems smart to not have it be a dust attractor    still gonna stay put with what I've got though, I'm really happy with it

haven't kept up in forever, are you guys meaning to say these veganpads are better aurally than the velour jergpads modular made and sold way back?   I thought the consensus was they were comfortable but not nearly as balanced of a sound sig   i guess as with all sounds sigs and prefs...

    Hifiman he-400i Impressions and Discussion

Not in the market for new cans, and loving my HE-400 with those custom pleather velour jergpads that were made for me    But has anyone A/B'd 400's with jergpads vs 400i's with the stock pleather/velour combo? I feel like this was influenced by Jerg.

I'm back to say nothing new except my mind is still blown with modular velour fitted pleather jergs and o2+udac stack.    I went on a hiatus from listening and following this thread, but I'll keep an eye out to read a bit.    :D

Haven't checked in in a while wow 299 for he-400s? New model coming out or not, that's insane! Still in nirvana with my jergpads (no not the band) How long ago did the price drop? I've been out of the loop. It's been a great 15 month run and counting! Intrigued to see what people will...

It's always great to take a break from he-400's and go right back to them to appreciate the sound even more.   Especially with modulor jergs.

yeah velour stock pads sound more like hd650 (and hd600 i'm sure, as well as hd595 to an extent) but make a lot of attributes worse besides mid-high range. They weaken the bass too They're also airier, but lose out on details of sound when a lots going on. But jergs make the pleathers airy in a...

few things: 1) sibilance can be lessened greatly by making/having jergpads 2) planar is a different sort of speaker sound, compared to dynamic driver hp's. 3) if your source material is bad, planar will draw out the artifacts undoubtedly. 4) get used to that AMAZING sound separation, its...
