I believe the sound channel is redesigned to have more bass and different indicator to shown which is the right ear.  Other than that, I don't think there is much else that is note worthy.

  I'm sure, of course, they are both headphones.  Just saying that first, it's not that fair with one is a 4-balance armature headphone and the other is a single dynamic driver.  I can't say the SQ of the JVC so I can't tell you anything about that.
