"Buy It For Life" Basshead Cans - with replaceable headbands?

I shave my head and have somewhat oily skin, so I notice that eventually my headbands wear out after a few years. I am looking to ideally settle on one pair of (preferably) over ear headphones, with a solid / robust build quality, where the consumable / wear items like headband and cups can be...

Producing electronic music: Under 200 cans that dont color sound but will thump when asked to: HD 25 II or MDR 7506/V6?

I havent heard the senn 600 series referred to as basshead cans, and I dont think Ive ever heard someone call grados bass heavy. Although people have said that about the 990. Dont know where Id even look to be able to try an audeze or a hifiman

Call me crazy but I am A/Bing a white pair of ATHM50 I picked up against the CAD MD310, and the CAD seem to be a little better? There is a slightly bigger soundstage and while the bass on the M50 is stronger, it seems a little inflated and the soundstage is pretty cramped?

    V-Moda / M-100 NON Fanboy feedback

A cursory glance at some reviews places it in the bassy category, but not significantly bassier than something like the beats studio?

NuForce bills the 800 as a monitor/reference class headphone, but youre saying its bass heavy? Can it realistically be used for studio/monitoring purposes?

if the 1000 is not bassy, I would assume its because the drivers are just so big a low power source cant move them properly. I know my 700s definitely opened up with the cmoy amp I had, but it still wasnt right/enough.

Not sure why the 1000 is so much lower compared to the other two. I can see how the vmoda does not have the sub bass rolloff that the 700 does, which probably contributes to the perfception of a greater quantity of bass

I had the 700s and sold them, Ive always wanted to try the 1000s. Supposedly with amping they kick hard.

My preferences are bass, with the requirement that the driver actually be the component providing it. Isnt "good sound" subjective? This forum is abound with people saying they are bassheads and then backpedaling one way or the other when faced with a bass heavy set of cans.

Would you consider it the bassiest headphone out there for $300?    And what is the bassiest headphone of all?

Open leaks all the bass out so it defeats the point as far as producing electronic dance music goes. Im looking at the ws99 and it is claiming to be a bass oriented headphone?

Just got the CAD MH310 in and I have to say, its not half bad. With a simple sine wave oscillator in ableton, they reached comfortably into 40 hz (sub bass territory) with significant volume.    I plan on acquiring vmoda 100s to satisfy my craving for a basshead LISTENING can. The monitor...
