A comparison of these and the NAD HP50 would be interesting 

The first week they were a bit uncomfortable to me but now I don't notice anymore. Perhaps it get a bit warm on the ears sometimes and I need a brake, but that's a common problem with not-huge closed over ear.

Yeah, that's what always happens in Europe, or at least in UK. Taxes push prices up by a lot.

Amazon uk dropped price from 250£ to 230£. Just one day after I ordered them, of course . Now to process a refund...   I had the hp50 for a couple of days and I'm really really pleased with the sound. Had high expectations and the hp50 just doesn't dissapoint. Agree with all that has been said...

I put my M-100 on eBay too. Looking for a more balanced headphone, I want to get the NAD hp50. I think they'll also work as a more relaxed home headphones.   Would love to keep the M-100 too...

I replicated the plastic piece that is holding the ear pads and snaps on the cups, but I made it so outside the cup the piece has a bigger circular shape to fit another pad. I tried some circular velour pads... but it wasn't that successful. The piece worked,though. Did it with a Solidoodle 3...

Thanks for the reply. I think I'll give a try to the L2, see how they behave outdoors. Focal Spirit pro - 160 euro in Amazon spain so money would be no problem. Do these compare well to the L2? how about the Spirit Classic?

Isolation is the only thing that is keeping me from buying them, too. How do these compare to the Momentum? I think I'll have to go for the Sennheisers... Amazed that the L2 is considered for some as a better headphone than the Momentums, being around 100£ less... Coming from the VModa M100...

Same here. I cancelled my order and got a refund as I wanted it before the Christmas holiday.

They were cheap ebay beyerdynamics replacement pads. The sound was more distanced and lost all its punch effect, probably because they were too big for the cups and the isolation wasn't great.

ey adamlr, that was me. The pads I first tried with the adaptor changed the sound too dramatically I think. I was going to try with different pads, not velour but leather ones and something closer to the hexagon-eliptical shape of the original ones, but didn't do it beacause the XL pads solved...

I'm waiting for the release of the Fiio E18 DAC/amp, compatible with Android phones... Given the specs of it, do you guys think it will be a good match for the M-100?

Would be great to know if it will work with the Galaxy Nexus.  Does it really matter if I have installed a custom rom or kernel?
