LOL, the 0 folder is not a bug, it's multi user support. User 1= folder 0, user 2= folder 1, etc. This was introduced with 4.2, a simple fix is to just move all your stuff to the 0 folder if you came from 4.1.2 or lower.- CynicalMushroom

Android phones and USB DACs
Quote: You are correct but as a i9300 user this is new and great stuff. Before I had to stay on stock/stock roms, but now i can move on to CM10.1 and other 4.2.1 roms. The patch is supposed to work on more devices than the N7/i9300, there's just no confirmation yet.- CynicalMushroom

Android phones and USB DACs
Great news everyone! The patch that jacknorris was working on over at XDA works for the i9300 and the Nexus 7! :D (No US S3 confirmed to be working atm *sadface*) This means that we can get our AOSP/AOKP fix! Currently running CM10.1 with Siyah 1.8.6 using the D-zero, it all works...- CynicalMushroom

Quote: Well that's strange. In my personal experience, if i boost the volume on my phone to max and adjust to a comfortable level on the dac, the lower bass will become distorted. If i lower the volume on the phone a bit and adjust on the dac the problem disappears, no distortion in...- CynicalMushroom

Android phones and USB DACs
Quote: Hey there. I can recommend the iBasso D-zero (109$) as I've done previously in this thread. That is if you want a dac/amp for portable use. The D-zero comes with a short OTG cable (even though this isn't listed on their site) as well with a short 3.5mm male to male cable, and...- CynicalMushroom

Android phones and USB DACs
For the ones with a i9300 I have some decent news. I've found a ROM that looks just like AOSP but still has USB audio working. The only reason I stayed on stock was because of the usb audio but now we can have both! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2052926 It has the...- CynicalMushroom

But the E17 only works when using the usb audio recorder app, whilst the D-zero works like it should. On another note, yes I was quite surprised to see that little otg cable in the ibasso package. They really need to update their website as that cable isn't listed and hence I bought a much...- CynicalMushroom

Quote: Check out the iBasso D-Zero, using it now, it's fantastic! It's sound signature is not incredibly dark but it's on the dark side for sure. It's incredibly tiny as well! iBasso D-Zero: http://www.ibasso.com/en/products/show.asp?ID=73 A nice review I read before...- CynicalMushroom

EDIT: Went to their website, seems promising. The latest version mentions some kernel tweaks, hope this doesn't remove the USB audio function. Flashing now... Isn't that still ICS? Last time I checked 4.0.4 was the latest version. I am currently on stock 4.1.2 XXELL4- CynicalMushroom

Here's a great one for $109. Super tiny so it could work with your car stereo and in your pocket http://www.ibasso.com/en/products/show.asp?ID=73 Confirmed to be working with a stock GS3, using it right now ^^- CynicalMushroom
