Apple Education Discount
Does anyone know if buying through a school or university has any perks compared to buying it straight from the store? This is considering if I were to buy it tomorrow, not at the beginning or end of the year.- crayonhead

Damaged CK10s
he's willing to part with it, since he has no use for it. I may try sliding the price down as far as possible, since the people i'm sending it to are willing to replace the specific drivers for the ck10 if any of them are broken.- crayonhead

Damaged CK10s
My question to you all is a simple one. I've been offered the opportunity to receive a pair of ck10s. The problem with them is how much to pay for it (i told the owner I needed it for parts). I asked, and it seems like on one side, there is a total loss of sound. The owner has said that while...- crayonhead

Products that last forever
Quote: Actually, Many more. Fingerprints and blood are a pain to clean off swords without leaving traces. And.. It was deemed "usable" when we took it to a Japanese swordmaker the day I cleaned it. Although I might have to keep it in it's case once it gets passed down to me...- crayonhead

Products that last forever
My godfather's family has a Katana that's about 400 years old. Works great. Although it's a pain to service. I'm next in line to receive it. Besides that, I own a honda cub. That thing is indestructible.- crayonhead

Erm. Trying to drag this thing back onto topic. Upgrading RAM on a laptop
Yep, the middle set. I didn't check the stats on the sager website, so I think I may have messed up. However, if you're running a 32 bit OS, the most the system can use is about 3-3.5 gigabytes of ram.- crayonhead

Upgrading RAM on a laptop
okay. So..Sager. There should be 2 hatches on the bottom with the centermost one as the RAM slots. NOTE: The sager supports DDR3 PC3-10600, DDR3 PC3-8500 memory. Please make sure that it is this type. Sometimes, if it's not compatible with the board, it will not work. Second note. The...- crayonhead

Getting "called-out" for not wearing the Beats
Quote: The video production room at our school has a pair of Sennheiser Hd 448s. On the beats issue, nobody has bothered me about it ever since I got a Westone UM1 Team Edition. They just see the red in my ears and the braided black cable, the hard (pelican - 20 bucks extra) case with...- crayonhead

That sounds plausible. Looking at their history, in the last 3 years, they've gone from quad core to 10 core for their top end processors.- crayonhead
