Best Bass Headphones in The World
This was expressed at the start of the thread but I gotta put in a vote for the Pro 900's. Post burn-in, these are some of the hardest hitting headphones I've ever heard. I love their sound. Mix in a warm amp and you've got a beautiful setup. Only issue I do have, however, is with...- Coffeemonster

Leather pads for Ultrasone Pro 900
Hi Oregonian, thanks so much for your reply. I just found your post from this past summer highlighting your Alpha Pad mod; did you take some pictures of the mod process? I understand it's probably a simple 'cut off old from plastic disk' and 'glue on new alpha pads' but I'm a bit squeamish...- Coffeemonster

Leather pads for Ultrasone Pro 900
May I ask where you sources the customer one pads from? I've searched on google but only found UK and Chinese vendors... hoping to find someone in the US. Thanks! Edit: Of course, a minute after posting this, I found them on amazon for $25...- Coffeemonster

Bicycle-Fi!
-10C is pretty cold in my book I would go with your idea of a pack-able rain jacket for sudden showers (I have a pearl izumi rain jacket I love that's form-fitting, so very little flap noise) and a wind proof jacket/vest. The nice thing about layering up with a merino base layer and a...- Coffeemonster

Bicycle-Fi!
I wear something quite similar from Cannondale for my winter training rides. Truth be told I get stupid hot in the thing (even when the outside temp is around 20F) and end up pulling the lower-face part down to my neck. customcoco, The jacket you need all depends on your riding conditions...- Coffeemonster

Does it matter what type of tape is used? I recall Kee using a felt "sticky tab", has anyone tried electrical/duct/scotch/etc tape?- Coffeemonster

Ultrasone Pro 900 Impressions Thread
I'm keeping an eye on the black friday deals (fingers crossed) for a E07k because I want a dac+amp setup. That way I can use it on my work laptop, home pc, and iphone5 (using some solution like on http://www.head-fi.org/t/682222/ios7-iphone-and-apple-cck/180).- Coffeemonster

Ultrasone Pro 900 Impressions Thread
I'm at about 50 hours of pink-noise burn-in and I can't believe how great they sound. They really sound like a different pair of cans with each passing 12 hours of burn-in. Regarding the bass, I found it a bit fatiguing while listening to ASOT on Spotify for a few hours yesterday. I ended up...- Coffeemonster

Ultrasone Pro 900 Impressions Thread
My 900's arrived yesterday and here's my initial thoughts: Disclaimer: The 900's are my first foray into the high(er)-end audio scene (previous to these I used iphone earbuds and Skullcandy Ink'd earbuds - so the 900's are a HUGE step up) First thing I did was hook them up to my iphone5...- Coffeemonster

Ultrasone Pro 900 Impressions Thread
Good question. I've read that the works quite well, but not sure if you'd want a boom mic for portable use only. I want to use it for gaming/skype on my desktop so function trumps forms.- Coffeemonster

Ultrasone Pro 900 Impressions Thread
I was thinking the same thing. I've come down to these and the M-100s and if the boom pro will fit the Pro 900s - they win.- Coffeemonster
