    Rec please...a more comfortable portable

Thanks Sermann, l have to look up campfire... Never heard of them. Are these on the smaller size? For reference, Westone um3x fit wonderfully, but the sound signature wasn't energetic enough in the lower ranges. Yeah, the over ear would replace the AT, since they just aren't comfortable...

    Rec please...a more comfortable portable

Hi everyone, thanks in advance. I very much enjoy my AT esw9 and senn ie8. Problem is either ear discomfort (esw9) or poor fit (ie8 are too large even with comply). I largely listen with an ifi micro at home (50-65% of the time) and LG V30 the rest of the time. Looking for equally excellent...

New iBasso Portable Amp/DAC: iBasso D14 "Bushmaster"

Perhaps I am an anomaly, but I had to send my D10 back in for repairs several times b/c of issues with the usb connector.  I hope they have a more robust design/build.

IEM lovers, helps me spend my money! Something that compliments the IE8 and ESW9

Hi everyone,   I'm looking for something good to compliment my existing IE8 & ESW9.   I have the UM3x, but I think I will be parting with it for something with more "weight" to the music, bass and excitement.   I'm looking for a universal IEM (no customs right now) and am currently looking...

Good "tubey" sounding amps for low impedance phones

Quote: According to their website, the S2 has a transformer in the output, so things should be okay with low impedance phones.   Also, the site says    1/4" stereo TRS output has selectable gain attenuation between 0dB and -6dB for greater volume control range on higher sensitivity...

Good "tubey" sounding amps for low impedance phones

Quote: Yeah...there are some reports that the WA2 is a "juicy" amp that does a good job of bucking the trend despite being otl, so I put it on my list.   Still a bit curious about the upcoming Sonnet 2 & decware csp2+ in regards to how juicy they are, both being transformer designs...

Good "tubey" sounding amps for low impedance phones

Was looking Woo WA2, but that doesn't look so ideal for low impedance phones like Mad Dogs, ESW9, etc.  WA6se, Ray Samuels, Eddie Current seem to, based on other posts, be more "SS sounding".   So the question is...what are some good tubey sounding amps for low impedance phones (<$2000)?  ...
