FiiO E17 "ALPEN" - First Impression + Final Thought
I received my FiiO E17 a day earlier than expected. I bought one used off ebay from a seller with 0 reputation. Fortunately, I wasn't scammed. Hey, everybody's gotta start somewhere right? I am a bit confused, or disappointed with the sound quality, namely the bass.I am probably just used to...- briankeeeem

1964 Ears
Sorry if this has been stated before, but how much were the 4.A's at their discounted price? 1964 received my second set of impressions yesterday. Can't wait til they ship me my new pair and see how much better they fit! Or.... how they still don't fit perfect... Also, just wanted to...- briankeeeem

Review: 1964 Ears V3 triple driver custom IEM (updated 10/24/12)
Quote: It definitely agree with your description of the V3's having a slightly veiled treble. However, like you said, I do not feel as though I am missing out on any detail or information when listening to music through the V3's. Nothing is excessively emphasized and the bass, while not...- briankeeeem

Ciem shell size/comfort
Different categories of sizes exist for custom IEMs? I have never heard of such thing. As far as I know, all custom IEMs are generally the same size: enough to fill up the bowl and cymba area of your ear. I find my 1964 Ears V3s to have more isolation than my Shure SE215s. They're not as...- briankeeeem

1964 Ears
Quote: That's exactly what happened to me haha. Trust me though, it'll be so worth it when you finally have them in your hands... or ears. I'd like to comment on the fit/comfort of my Shure SE215's compared to my V3's. The V3's are not by any means uncomfortable, but...- briankeeeem

1964 EARS V6 Thread
Quote: Ahh, dang it. If this is true, I should have gone with the Quads instead. I do notice the V3's having a bit of a V-shaped sound signature (this is in comparison to my AKG K271 MKII). I thought the Quads were less neutral considering that they have more bass? I'm curious as to how...- briankeeeem

1964 ears v3 - 3x BA and 3 way crossover
So I just received my V3's today and I can say I am thoroughly pleased. The sound is phenomenal and so very detailed. I can pick out basically everything, but it's not what I would call "sterile" or "cold". Few problems though. 1. Occlusion effect is in... well full effect. I think I may...- briankeeeem

1964 Ears
I received my V3's today! And they're WAY smaller than I imagined them to be. I guess seeing so many large pictures of them online made me think that way. Couple of questions and perhaps problems though: 1. I feel a bit of a pressure-build up with them in. Is this normal? 2. I get quite a...- briankeeeem

1964 EARS V6 Thread
Hmmm, wouldn't this cause a majorly V shaped sound signature? I remember reading something about the ear canal amplifying mids and in-ear's not needing a lot of treble because of the proximity of the speakers... Also, how long does it take for USPS to send you the tracking number? Anastasia...- briankeeeem

Quote: Ouch... hope you have something to keep you busy during that time. I got a call from Vitaliy today... it was a bit awkward if I'm honest . Nonetheless, nice to know Vitaliy is very much in touch with his customers and isn't up in some pompous elitist cloud looking down on all of us.- briankeeeem

Oh gawd, I'm so jealous right now. Did you guys all go with the rush orders? Hate you all for delaying my pair of V3's (but seriously). On my 14th day of waiting... On another note, when did they stop doing the customized foam insert on the pelican cases?- briankeeeem

Review: 1964 Ears V3 triple driver custom IEM (updated 10/24/12)
I don't mean to be a little impatient brat , but I am going to a bit upset if you guys who bought a V6 receive them before I receive my set of V3's seeing as 1964 received my impressions the day the V6's went on sale. Great review project86! Very detailed and well-written out. Maybe I could...- briankeeeem

1964 Ears
Speaking of impressions, I must say that I am a bit worried, having realized that I had a pimple of some sort on the "inside" of my ear over 6 months ago. However, it never fully went away, even to this day, and so, is included as part of the impression. It is not by any means a significant...- briankeeeem
