2010 - Your Favorite New Releases So Far?

Quote:   Thanks you so much for this.  I love this album so much and wouldn't have found it without you.  :D

Pictures of your computer rigs! Post them here!

Quote: The size has nothing to do with it, you know that right? It's about native resolution.  That's why the 30's where so expensive.  Also, the cheap acer and asus's are pretty crappy when considering that IPS in the same resolution can be had for just a bit more.  If I hadn't been...

Shure SE210 -- Hate it or love it?

I absolutely loved my SE210's.  They were my first pair of phones above $30.  The biggest thing about these phones (as well as all iem's, though especially Shure's and it seems even more especially the 210's) a proper seal is needed.  I'm not just talking about shoving them in and not being able...

A Netbook for my new uDAC2 and Grado Headphones, Maybe?

Quote: The latest Asus models are much nicer than the previous models, which were pretty much tops to begin with, but they have their kinks.  The 1215N, for example, has some display issues (flickering on occasion and not waking up correctly) that exist but are pretty isolated.  In...

Fiio E7 vs Nuforce Icon Mobile

Some thread rezzing here, but has there been any development in this area?  I'm looking for something cheap to velcro to the back of my netbook for when I travel, I can't stand the headphones out on it anymore.  Which of these two (or some unknown third) would be the way to go at this price point?

Quote:   Update:      I've recently moved out of my fraternity for my senior year of college, and I've updated a lot of my listening set up since the last time I posted.  My new primary phones are some Sennheiser HD580's which I found at Goodwill for something like $8.  My...

Sony D-35 PCDP - pics and review

Good thing we cleared that up.  2 years of false information.   /sarcasm

A Netbook for my new uDAC2 and Grado Headphones, Maybe?

I've tried OS X, Ubuntu, Windows 7 Home Premium, Windows 7 Starter and Windows XP on various netbooks here an there.  Except for starter, I tried the other four on my 1215N each separately for a week each.  OS X was only for a few days, since the drivers aren't quite right yet, but I did run it...

List of bugs and suggestions for the new "Classified" section.

Quote: I'm having this problem too.  PM's on the sellers profile work just fine, it's just the button to send the PM under the price.

    SHURE SRH440 + portable AMP

Let's not forget a nice little CMOY.  If you're going to DIY for the first time, I'd look into making one of them.  There's kits on ebay as low as $18.  Buy some altoids at walmart when you order, eat them while you wait a few days, then build it.   I don't know how well a CMOY would play...

New Gear For Sale/Trade and User Feedback Systems

Are want to buy, want to trade for threads allowed in the new system?  How should one go about posting one?  Same as before with a WTB in the title or is there going to be a separate area for this?   I figure it's the title thing, but WTB and WTTF weren't addressed in the original topic, so...

A Netbook for my new uDAC2 and Grado Headphones, Maybe?

With linux on netbooks, be a bit warry. The battery management for most distros of linux isn't on par with what windows 7 can offer.  Right now, I get about an hour to two less with Ubuntu on my 1215N using similar settings (though I'm pretty sure optimus doesn't work on linux yet, which would...

highest capacity FLAC dap, with flash HD?

Quote: I don't think anyone is saying it is.  The OP said he wanted a player that could be rockbox'd or played FLAC.  I think the idea is that he wants to play FLAC on the go, so if the player didn't natively play FLAC he would rockbox it if possible (adding FLAC support).  Since the S...
