I am still holding onto my Bose QC25 for long flights as they are super light and comfortable, and I tend to put them on when I get on the plane and keep them on until landing (bar maybe a visit to the bathroom). I am not necessarily listening to audio for 100% on the time (although a bit of...- Bob24

This means taking off the left earphone for 5 minutes and then the right earphone for 5 minutes ... and repeating the process every single hour until then end of the flight (to keep them running once the initial 4 hours are used-up). Not very practical/enjoyable on long a flight (wearing only...- Bob24

Question on the Bose 700s: have you used them on a long flight already and how do they feel in terms of comfort? I am very sensitive to discomfort from headphones and my current Bose QC25s are the only headphones I even had which I can wear for 10+ hours without any problem. I want to replace...- Bob24

Yep, as I said on a long haul (lets say 12h) flight you will be without earphones several times during the flight while waiting from them to charge in their case. Also the claim that "If you charge AirPods for 15 minutes in their case, you get up to 3 hours of listening time" is valid for the...- Bob24

It won’t make any difference, the case already stores enough power anyway. The problem is that they can only hold 4.5 hours of run time (when new, this will drop after a year) with their own internal battery, and can’t be charged when in use. So after 4 something hours the internal battery...- Bob24

To my knowledge the APP only supports SBC and AAC, so it won’t be using Aptx. If your adapter doesn’t support AAC it will default to SBC with the APP (which I suspect will cause a lag). Sure I understand that. What I was saying is that given its battery life, the APP isn’t very suitable for...- Bob24

Also given their battery life the APP will mostly be used on short haul flights. Availability and probability of use for in-flight entertainement systems is much lower on these (I also tend to bring my own movies on my iPad in those circumstances). I still like browsing through entertainment...- Bob24

I don’t have the pros (still considering whether to get them), but I wasn’t under the impression people were particularly complaining about the mics. Is it that much of a downgrade compared to the original AirPods (which I have and are pretty good from that perspective)?- Bob24

I don't think you'll find something with the same tiny size and feather like weight, similar or better battery life, efficient ANC, equivalent or better mic, and equivalent or better sound quality. You'll probably have to compromise on at least one of these things (for example with the Sonys you...- Bob24

No Apple Store around unfortunately, but I might just order and return if not happy. Yes I am assuming the MTW are best when it comes to sound, but was wondering what someone who has both has to say in terms of how large the gap is. To be honest I'd sacrifice some SQ for all the rest as the...- Bob24

I assume you are talking convenience/comfort/ANC/reliability and not sound quality? (I have the MTW and like the sound, but the AirPods Pro do sound tempting for everything else ... if they came just close to the sound quality it would be a no-brainer)- Bob24

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?
It certainly could as the hardware capability is there, but I wouldn’t buy them counting on it happening. If they didn’t include the feature in the first place they possibly don’t think it is worth their while (although I would definitely agree with you that it is a useful feature).- Bob24

Maybe bad manufacturers will. If they are good manufacturers, they’d better copy the rest of the recipe: small size, decent battery life, confortable to wear, near flawless Bluetooth connectivity, and best in class ease of use with multiple devices (in this case, as long as they are Apple...- Bob24

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?
Thanks. Actually I just figured it out and it’s a bit silly. When I put them on I press on them a little bit with my fingers to secure them in my ears ... and as I do that it records a single tap on the left bud and triggers a play/pause action. I guess I’ll get used to this and lock them in...- Bob24

Going fully Wireless IEMs. Too soon? Or are we there yet?
One more question for MTW owners. When I take them out of their case, they not only power up and connect to my iPhone (or latest known device), but music playback starts automatically. So the Apple Music app would kick off and resume playing the last song I was listing to. I don’t really like...- Bob24
