Sony NWZ-ZX1 - 35th Walkman Anniversary model
I have had 1.14 on my Japanese ZX1 for a couple of days and I've found an annoying bug. If you're playing music and the headphone cable is removed it stops the player which is normal but now when this happens the hard play/fwd/rwd all stop working until you restart the player. I tried checking...- bh2001

Substitute for the ZuneHD ... ?
Having had a ZuneHD (still using) I would recommend a Sony NWZ-ZX1(128gb) or F887(64gb). Meets all the criteria although the battery life could be better. My ideal player would be a ZuneHD that sound and a capacity of the Sony NWZ-ZX1. Astell and Kern AK100 is also very good but not as nice to...- bh2001

PONO - Neil Youngs portable hi-res music player
Somebody may have mentioned already but it reminds me of the old iRiver players, like the T-60, with its toblerone shaped body.- bh2001

Should I buy one of the "Zune" product line?
If you want a good sounding easy to use DAP that is a little outdated in terms of newer HiRes players, yes. It probably still as one of the best UIs around. Pretty sure they aren't still being made but mine is still going strong.- bh2001

Looking for ~190$ Mp3 (Budget mp3 player!)
What is "better". Better for HiRes files C3. Easier to use and you'll only use for mp3 or similar files Zune HD. There are probably others available.- bh2001

Two very different players. Zune HD is a bit old but sounds good and very easy to use but no memory card slots. I don't have a C3 but its sound specs and file/resolution specs are better only 8gb built in but has a card slot.- bh2001

Sony NWZ-ZX1 - 35th Walkman Anniversary model
I also got mine shipped to Australia with Price Japan via EMS. Great service and way cheaper than ebay. ZX1 sounds terrific for jazz and indeed all acoustic music. Sounds like the upright bass player is standing in the room. In fact everything I've listened to on it sounds fantastic although...- bh2001

Polk Buckle- an overlooked headphone that deserves a thread
I've had a pair for a couple of months now. I find them to be very comfortable and a fun listen. Warm sounding and detailed although not as detailed as some others. They look kind of old school like they should come with a curly cord, bean bag and a lava lamp, I like the look but wouldn't walk...- bh2001

Looking for some noise-canceling headphones
Polk Audio Ultrafocus 8000 are really excellent and you can get them close to $300 but they are sometimes more expensive. You could look for the discontinued Denon AH-NC800s also very good.- bh2001

iPod 5.5th Gen vs. Zune 80/120 sound quality?
I've got a Zune 30, 80, 120 and HD. I got each one when they were first released and there have been zero problems with any of them. I still use them quite a lot, especially at work (music teacher). They sound very good although not as good as an AK100 but in terms UI they are super easy to use.- bh2001

Best headphones to wear while sleeping?
Quote: I've got some and the sound is adequate, in fact when you consider the the design it is pretty good. It won't compete with your favourites but you can sleep comfortably with them on even on your side, added bonus of keeping your ears warm on a cold night. I've yet to try them with...- bh2001

NEW Sony Walkman Z Series mini review!!!
Quote: The sound of the two is both great, as to which is better it depends on your tastes. The F is smaller, lighter and a bit faster, if you just want it for music and like its sound then that is probably the better choice. The Z is about the size of a smartphone and if you want to do...- bh2001

The New iRiver/Astell & Kern AK100: A High-End DAP
I couldn't get the database to scan properly for some time and then I used Listrid's patch for 1.33 and that has fixed almost all of the problems although I still have less than 10,000 songs and my 64gb cards aren't full but certainly stock 1.33 firmware has major scanning issues especially with...- bh2001
