Impressions | aune AR5000 Full-Size Open Headphones with MLD Driver

Considering how highly regarded Aune is as a company, the AR5000 look very promising. What struck me the most in the video was the dampening system employed, very interesting. Oh, and the geek in me loved the shots of the AR5000 laid out in parts over the schematics. Good luck everyone! 🤟😎

    Hifiman HE1000 Planar Dynamic Headphone

Poorly made?! That's a BOLD assumption! This isn't 2010 Chi-Fi. Does this board look cheap or poorly engineered?! The only thing cheap about this unit was the wall-wart they included.

You want tubes for your HE1000? I got your solution: This little pre-amp from AliExpress is nothing short of amazing, and can be had for $40!! AIYIMA, Fossi Audio, Rod Rain, FX Audio, they come with different branding but all are the same. Not only do you get that awesome tube-sound, you have...

    Hifiman HE1000 Planar Dynamic Headphone

Honestly, I'd just ignore the bass and treble adjustments, bringing the EQ to only 5 filters. I find the bass WAY too overpowering, and the treble neutered, both I have no issue with at stock frequencies.

The foam is hard and smooth, it doesn't. Had many, including my HD 600 on this head for years without any issue. The only thing I did notice was when I had my AKG 340 with aftermarket replacement pads on it the dye from the pads ever so slightly seeped into the texture of the foam, but that was...

Headphone stand? I think not. Got this mannequin head at Value Village for $2 durning Halloween a few years back. As you can see, my HE1000 Stealth is wearing a a wool torque. I tell you, comfort is increased by quite a bit plus it protects the leather. Win win!

Introducing HIFIMAN AUDIVINA--New Closed-Back Planar Headphones!

No, some people are not afraid to give their OPINION! His ears are not ours, and I for one think he is dead wrong despite me agreeing with virtually all other reviews he has done with headgear I am experienced with. He gave his subjective opinion with little objective talking points. It truly...

Yes, it has been done here. Speaking of EQing, for my HE1K stealth I tried both the Stealth and SE Harman compensations and both sound great! HE1K SE HE1K Stealth Not too sure which I like more as both sound really good, though I am slightly leaning towards the HE1K SE curve.

Let them break in. Trust me, I thought the same way with my Ananda Stealth but after the 50 hour mark the HE1KS really started to open up, and the upper-mid/treble glare I heard goes away. I couldn't go more than 30min to an hour before my ears felt like I was a rock concert, now I can listen to...

    Hifiman HE1000 Planar Dynamic Headphone

Me too, I am done! I always wanted an HE1000 as my endgame, even after the Susvara replaced it as HiFiMAN's flagship, and now that I have the HEKS, I couldn't be more pleased! Amps and pre-amps on the other hand... 😜

Or the cost reduced for the product. Either way it's a win win by reducing the unnecessary and passing it along to the consumer. Besides, the packing double for a headphone stand as well which is also reducing waste and gives the end-user somewhere to place their cans. Another plus in my book!
