US buyers beware
Do you have any timeframe (how long have you been waiting)? Was it shipped using economy/ground? I've never had any problems like you described, but maybe that's because when it comes to international, I stick to EMS.- Assorted

this may sound stupid but how does the dac/amp work
I've never had any USB related problem like the one you described. I can even use my Pico on a single-core XP with no problems. It might help if you post some information on your laptop (make, CPU, year etc).- Assorted

Every single audio equipment from a large company has an informative slip in the package warns you something about "don't listen too loud". That is excellent information that most people don't know -- that's why they end up buying $100+/year accidental damage insurance for their Dell/Lenovo/etc laptops when there are much cheaper alternatives like the one you mentioned. -

I only eat cereal like how other people eat chips. I rarely use milk When I'm feeling for a "desert", I pour a modest amount of 10% and honey into my cereal before the malk.- Assorted
