Wadia 170 iTransport owners club
It is possible, the Alpine car stereos do this. Tehy use the USB interface and an internal DAC and amplifier, as well as provide a remote interface from the car stereo to control the ipod and access all the content. I even consider using one of those at home, with a car battery =P I do have...- Artemio

Does this sound like a tube problem or an amp problem? DarkVoice 336i
You only need to solder caps over the resistors, as shown here. Before Mod: Darkvoice 336i sin modificación - Vox After Mod: Darkvoice 336i modificado - Vox I have already replaced those with better quality ones. You just need to pay attention to the polarity, negative in this...- Artemio

Vinyl ripping via laptop ?
It depends on what you what your reasons to to rip are. If you are going for material you don't have in a digital format, I see no problem. If you want a good quality rip, I'd get a dedicated stereo capture card.- Artemio

First Blu-Ray record released!
Thanks for the information infinitesymphony, I wasn't aware that most SACD players worked that way. I really was looking forward to for PS3 to output DSD in a future firmware... maybe that wouldn't be as good as I though. I'll be reading the link you recommended, thanks.- Artemio

Playing SACD on an Oppo....
Just as jilgiljongiljing says, there is an option for choosing which layer to play back when using a SACD. So far I have found that the PS3 sounds better even when using HDMI on both players. I strongly believe that the Oppo does a lot of processing to the signal, even when using HDMI PCM...- Artemio

Auzen Prelude + PS3 Blu Ray Problem
Analog "supports" the format alright. But the PS3 has no pre-out analog outs for the full range of channels. You can get a down mix on the stereo outs of your PS3, and I believe this should be superior that using the optical.. but still, sub par for what you wnat to achieve. The only solution...- Artemio

Has anyone used headphones during Blu Ray playback..
Yes I've tried it. It depends on your player's outputs. Check if it has analog out for stereo playback, and if so connect that to any amplifier that accepts RCA. It might be your receiver, and stereo input will do in that case. and select the uncompressed, TrueHD or DTS MA track.- Artemio

Bi-wiring Paradigm speakers
Then I believe you have no problem my friend. I meant that the power amplifier should have the capability, but iof both do, you should give it a try an dlook out for better mid-low performance.. that'w where I noticed the heaviest change.- Artemio

Finally managed to install my own cartridge...it sounds amazing.
I happen to agree with you, the presentation and realism of it beats the small pops and clicks immediately after you start listening end enjoying it. I have done A/B compares of the same vinyls vs SACD, for instance Restrospectve by Rebecca Pidgeon (Spanish Harlem in particular) and also with...- Artemio

Bi-wiring Paradigm speakers
What you need is an integrated amp that has bi-amping as an option. The Yamaha RX-V1700 and several more do. I am not taht sure about A-B speakers, since it would depend on what the amp is doing. I used to have one with A and B, but it couldn't send the same signal to both. If yours can... -

Need help converting Vinyl to digital
i say go for a new cartridge for the process, and if possible get a stereo capture card, they usually have better DAC/ADC stages, and are not as expensive (less than 100 USD for an M-Audio i believe). You can of course use a standard sound blaster, but the results are not as good. They are...- Artemio
