I would like to recable my Grado PS500.  The original version.  Are there any guides here that show how to safely and properly open the PS500?

^ Was that my ad?  I had a buyer who changed his mind last minute.  Mine are back up for sale.  I'm not fond of their sound signature on an emotional level.  I think the headphone is excellent, but I was hoping for a different tone similar to the ESW11 Japan.

If I enjoyed the ATH W3000anv a great deal, would the ESW10JPN be the right choice for me?  Someone in a previous thread said the ESW9LTD was closer to the 10JPN than the 11LTD.  If anyone can confirm that, please let me know.

  I fully agree on all points.  I find the HD800 to warp small sounding recordings too much.  Swapping between the 007 or 009 and the HD800 instantly portrays a sense of something wrong with the generalized shape of the HD800, as well as the positioning.  These faults don't exist on the Stax...

The HD800 is worth keeping for live concert type recordings and classical, I do not think my 009 or 007 even remotely compare.  True, they are more clear and more realistically well defined and solid, but neither portray certain spacious genres and tracks nearly as well as the HD800.  For...

The 560s clamp too much for my head, but they do sound audibly more clear than the 500s.  Just wish they have a bit more treble quantity, I think Hifiman did a good job on them.  Interesting Box as well...

Not at all happy with how Mr. Fang tuned the treble on the HE-560.  Hoped for a brighter, more beautiful flare to it.

    I own all of the Audeze's except the very first LCD2, I wince as well.  The Schitty Rig doesn't jive with the XC at all.

I have the Mjolnir and Gungnir on loan and they just don't mesh with the XC as well as my Oppo HA-1 by itself.  I agree with the user who said the Schiit rig was too harsh.
