Yes, it's the new Creator Edition that comes with the black case. I think it's rather that the LCD-2s are - relative to other Audeze headphones - prohibitively expensive where I live for whatever reason, coming in at just under $1600 after VAT. LCD-2Cs, for instance, are only ~ $1100.
