Just tried it with my Juli@ at full line out volume. There's some bass distortion alright, but it isn't very apparent. You might wanna try using an attenuator or something.

When I first auditioned it, that happened to me too. It went away after a while though. I also noticed it happens when your input volume is too high. The C&C sounds good but it has to me an unacceptable noise floor. There's an effort going on at the C&C sexy pictorial thread about modding...

I thought that was the C&C XO? Or is it an altogether different amp?

You are right about the caps. What about the opamps though? I wonder if they can be replaced? I was thinking of swapping the AD822BR with the AD797. Noise is one of the issues I have with the C&C, maybe the AD797 can improve it? I'm no expert though... Just a wild guess
