Hiby R3 Pro Portable Bluetooth DAP
I just tried updating the firmware again using a smaller 2 GB FAT32 microSD card. The player just reboots and doesn't actually update. So this means I need to try this other recovery method? Is there a detailed guide on how to do this update via the recovery method? What files/drivers do I...- Acreo Aeneas

Hiby R3 Pro Portable Bluetooth DAP
So what is the upgrade process for my R3 Pro from 1.3 to 1.4 now? I just got the player from Amazon a few days ago and I have not been able to update the firmware 1.4 either using OTA or microSD card methods. OTA method tells me "checksum error" after the download finishes and microSD card...- Acreo Aeneas

Master & Dynamic Video - MH40: DYNAMIC DIFFERENCES
Wow they look sleek and sexy for $400. Maybe when I'm ready to spend serious money I'll pick up a pair. Impressions above make them out to be very detailed, dynamic with excellent range, and comfortable without compromising aesthetics.- Acreo Aeneas

Rank the Headphones that You Own.
I don't own many. Gotten rid of some the last few years too. Full-Sized: 1. JVC HA-RX700 - I use these mainly at home. The long wire and large size make them unweildingly clumsy for on-the-go. They have a nice laid back signature and are quite comfortable with minimal clamp. 2. Sony...- Acreo Aeneas

NEW 2014 Extra Bass SONY MDR-XB950AP/H
I got a pair through NewEgg for $25 (refurb). I spent a few hours listening to some of my Google Play Music collection. Overall, they seem a bit veiled (sometimes it seemed like the mids were recessed), but I think that depends greatly on the type of music. I found bass-heavy songs with...- Acreo Aeneas

Headphone Sightings 2
Was riding the bus to work this morning. Noticed this student (assumption) wearing a pair of B&W P5s. Not my first time seeing him, but sure made me all giddy with excitement. Then this girl sits down next to him wearing a pair of Beats Solo and I couldn't help but frown and turned away in...- Acreo Aeneas

Fix for Sennheiser HD419 with Sound Only Out of One Ear?
So my brother bought a pair of HD419's off Amazon refurb'd for the low, low price of $10. Now after normal wear-and-tear, sound only comes out of the left ear cup. Nothing out of the right. I'm wearing them now and the wire doesn't seem to be at fault. I've wiggled it and slowly inserted the...- Acreo Aeneas

Jaben is selling uber rare headphones on Taobao for exuberant prices
That's a lot of cash for a pair phones. I hope they are worth the $5000+ people shell out... Makes the budget stuff I have feel tiny, they don't even have as many zeros in their price tag. :S- Acreo Aeneas

Monoprice 8323 vs JVC rx700?
Every headphone has it's own sound signature and in the end, it depends on what the listener wants out of a given pair of cans, what sound he/she is looking for, whether or not they like bass/clarity/detail, etc. Personally, I find both to be on the bass heavy side because I usually prefer...- Acreo Aeneas

Monoprice 8323 vs JVC rx700?
Just a note before you read the rest of my post: I have not burned in my 8323s enough yet (only about 6 hours on them). I have read burn-in opens up the mids a bit more (impressions from other members says it's not significant). Second, don't post a reply so quickly after your first post...- Acreo Aeneas

Rank the Headphones that You Own.
1. Coby CV185 2. JVC HA-RX700 3. Soundmagic PL18 4. Phillips SHL9500 Since I'm more on the go nowadays, I've been grabbing for my cheapy Coby CV185s the most. When I'm at home, I reach for my HARX700s for some nice quiet personal listening. The PL18s are fun and dynamic, but with...- Acreo Aeneas

Hmm...comfy eh? Going off of just TSIG's video review, seems like something I would have added to my wishlist if it weren't for the inline volume controller and the flat cable. Other than that, sounds like my HARX700s. I usually don't like inline controllers since they usually break. Minimal...- Acreo Aeneas

Is this website legit ?
It looks very suspect. Even tempted to say "scam" site: Compare this page: http://www.first-class-headphones.com/Monster-Beats-Mixr-p/mr-mixr.htm To Best Buy's reviews page: http://reviews.bestbuy.com/3545/4676961/beats-by-dr-dre-mixr-over-the-ear-headphones-black-reviews/reviews.htm...- Acreo Aeneas
