According to the graph below by Bad Guy Good Audio Reviews, this is how I hear the Z12, not the S12. To me the Z12 are not shouty, maybe due to the lower bass and finer highs, which balances out everything else. Now, with the PLA13, the high's do sound smoother, but never lacking any for that...

TRN EMA all the way...! They are amazing! I can't seem to find any fault in these for their insane low price. No need to add the sponge either, which sometimes alters the sound. They insert my ears gracefully and sound so balanced and accurate. -Clear

I'll be getting my PLA13 in 3 to 4 days and I can compare them to my "one-of-a-kind" Z12. So, quick impressions will be coming from me, soon... -Clear :yum::thumbsup:

Just as long as the MID-bass doesn't overshadow the rest of the signature with bass bleed, it should sound okay with just lower bass rumble. Cross-fingers!:fingers_crossed: -Clear
