If money and storage space were no objects, I would be keeping both of my ZMF cans for their lifetimes or mine, whichever is longer, and probably add both Verites and an Eikon to the mix at some point. ZMF's high-end cans are bananas good. Alas, it's time for me to step down from TOTL/"summit-fi" headphones for many reasons, and I'm parting with these artistic (visually and, in ways I don't always prioritize, sonically) masterpieces to make physical and monetary room for the next batch of cans. Here's one of them.
ZMF Caldera (LTD Kingwood), I am the original owner and put somewhere between 100-200 hours on them over the past ~5-6 weeks since delivery. Comes with stock leather pads, slim cowhide pads, and suede pads, as well as a braided ZMF 1/4" cable and solid ZMF XLR cable.
Condition straddles the line very closely between Excellent and Good, I rounded down out of excess honesty: see the scuffs incurred to the magnesium coatings on the cup mounts where some color has rubbed off, and one scratch to one of the cups themselves I tried to capture in a picture here.
These will ship anywhere in the USA tracked, insured, and due to their value, signature-required via UPS (if you prefer FedEx, I can do that, but will require your phone number. Their rules, not mine). I will alternatively meet up locally anywhere in northwestern Washington state (the I-5 corridor between Blaine and Olympia, + the San Juans where I live, is a general idea) to conduct a local sale on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, if you so prefer.
In general I am not seeking trades, however I am open to a money+headphone trade for a Focal Clear MG (either colorscheme, but the Pro preferred) and/or an LCD-X 2021 Edition. Please do not offer me trades that are not one of these two headphones; I've changed the post tag from FS/T to FS because I think I've been offered at least a dozen often summit-grade trades for these cans that are beautiful and probably sound great, but if I were staying at this price bracket, I would simply keep these cans.
I will combine shipping with the silver 1/4" Norne cable I got these cans with if you choose to purchase it as well, see my other listing.
The painted-out bit in the first picture is my username on another forum where the two cans I have up for sale are in a single posting and I simply cropped that picture in half. I will happily provide a Head-Fi specific proof of ownership upon request during daylight hours when there's a bit better lighting in here
