I bought these a bit over a year ago as my "endgame" ZMF cans after trying almost all other ZMF models (including the Verite) and preferring the Auteur. I have found though that I have transitioned to listening almost exclusively via speakers so these have hardly been used, and I figure I should find these truly special creations a new home so I can prioritize some other upgrades for my system.
ZMF accommodated some aesthetic requests for me with this Wenge Auteur, they are truly remarkable and I could not be more thrilled with how they turned out. They are sanded/finished smoother than other Wenge sets so they are more chocolate brown than black, more uniform, and smoother to the touch but still with a matte finish. Photos do not even do them justice, the wood grain really pops in person and has great luminescence where it looks different depending on how the light is catching them, truly stunning. Up there with my old camphor burl Eikon as my favorite ZMF cans I have had the privilege to have Zach make for me.
They have the magnesium chassis as I am weight-sensitive with my cans, and are in a wood walnut case. 2nd set of pads is Eikon suede (magic secret weapon IMO), ZMF cleaning cloth, stock 3.5mm cable with adapter, paperwork/tools. I do have some other pads/cables/accessories for ZMF, but am leaning toward holding on to them for now in case I return to ZMF cans again, let me know if there is something you are looking for though and I might be able to be convinced to bundle in.
These are in absolute mint condition, pristine, I cannot find a flaw or scratch on them. I have given these the complete white glove treatment since I received them a bit over a year ago. They even shipped to me with the perfect headband bend/clamp and rods at my preferred slider position, so neither headband/sliders have ever been repositioned. These have only came out on special occasions over the past year and otherwise lived in their wood padded case. Probably have only 50 hours of head time or less, probably closer to 150 on the drivers themselves as I ran them for break-in overnight with the cans on the Salire a few times when I first received them.
