They're referring to the baffle covering the driver I assume. WP = White Paper. iirc for HD 580 Precision models, there exists 4 baffles: black paper (earliest models); black silk (2nd oldest); white paper (final revision before the limited edition jubilee's); and a rerun of the 580's during the mid 2000's with a silver screen baffle.

I thought White Paper and Silver screen baffled are the same. WP sounded the best right ?

Popular consensus seems to go for the black silk over all the other models, but in my opinion (and as an owner of the first three models), I enjoy my white paper the most. I am unsure about the silver screen baffle actually, I've only seen photos of the silver screen baffle in photos in other communities I am in.

Oh I see... never knew silver screen baffle exist. They opt for black because its what available. I wonder if you have tried a/b with two different variant. Am also looking for WP. 2 more cans to end my collection which am pretty much broke.
