For sale is my Woo Audio WA6-SE (Gen 1). Well loved and well listened to, but I have no headphones at the moment that benefit from the OTC design, so it's time for it to find a new owner!

A little history about this amp here: it's a pre-2010 version, meaning it can't take 6DF7 tubes and the like, which is something I did not know until buying it almost a year ago. The condition is excellent, as you can see from the photos, and there are barely any scratches (I found one which is pictured). The amp's age is the only reason the condition is marked as "good." Anyway, I figured with an older amp like this I'd better send it to Woo Audio to get it inspeted in case anything was awry. I had to order their original box with custom foam inserts to ship the amp safetly, so that'll be how the amp ships out. They took it in, inspected it, tighened both input jacks and a loose screw in the transformer, cleaned it up, and sent it back to me within factory spec. Since I got it I haven't really used it much, just checked to see if it was working and went on to build a Bottlehead Crack, which I use with my Aeolus and Sennheisers. So you'll be getting essentially a factory spec amp, with a power cord included, OH and with some great of tubes...

Included with the amp are the well-known Brimar 5Z4GY, which has a very slight hum out of the high impedence jack (Mike from Woo Audio told me this was to be expected with that tube) but super addicting sound, the stock rectifier (which Woo Audio sold me to be used as a reference, as it is dead silent out of both jacks), and a pair of Toshiba 6DE7's from Woo Audio. The 6DE7's cost $200 and sound like it, and the Brimar was around $50 from England and sounds like more.

For an additional $100 I'm willing to part with all the other tubes I rolled in the WA6-SE. That includes input tubes: two pairs of 6EW7's (one from ebay, the other from Woo Audio - another $200 value combined), two pairs of Sylvania 6DE7's (also from ebay), a pair of wonderful Selectron 6DE7's (ebay), and then three rectifiers: the Electro-Harmonix 5U4G the amp came with, a Mullard-made CV593 (which has the most amazing tone), and a Preferred Series 274B (from TheTubeStore.com), which gives some extra bass bloom and increases the soundstage quite a bit. All of these would be around a $500 value new. None of them have more than 50 hours on them, except maybe the Mullard CV593. I'm selling them separately because I will have to ship them in a separate box. There is no room in the WA6-SE box I bought from Woo Audio.

And that's all folks! PM for any inquiries. PP fees and shipping included for all. If you want a separate selection of tubes from those I have to come with the WA6-SE, that's fine too, but the 6EW7's won't fit in the box because of their size. So $750 for just the amp and the tubes it comes with tubes, and $850 for all included. No trades.

Thanks for looking!

FYI I think you posted this in the wrong category. There’s one for amps. You might have better luck there running into people in the market for an amp.
