For sale is one pair of A4000.1 compression drivers by Wolf von Langa. The A4000.1 is a 1" horn driver, I am the first owner. One of the best drivers in the world, without any exaggeration.

Since the A4000.1 has a fieldcoil magnet (electromagnet), it needs a separate power supply to function normally. Take a look at the Thomas Mayer power supply I am selling as well, it allows for different settings of the magnet which means that it can be matched perfectly to the rest of the speakers. Sonically it is way superior to standard linear supplies available on the market.

The pair of drivers comes with an additional transformer and electronic parts for the construction of a power supply, worth 300€. These were originally ordered from Wolf von Langa with the drivers, but were then never used.

A few minor scratches, which are inevitable given all the shiny metal and the fact that the drivers need to be moved around and installed in a speaker. I therefore rate the condition as "good".

The A4000.1 was used in the Wolf von Langa "Black and White" loudspeakers and is the predecessor of the 2544. The version for sale here already has the better sounding bronze ring. On request I can provide all the relevant technical documentation for this fine pair of drivers.
