If you're reading this then you know what these headphones are. African Blackwood is a very hard wood with a Janka rating of 3,670 lbf (16,320 N).
These are in very good condition with only a few minor blemishes. Sonically they are perfect. African Blackwood is notoriously hard to photograph, but I was able to get some decent grain shots in the sunlight. It's a bit harder to see indoors ... part of the allure I suppose. There are a couple small dings in the varnish of the left cup that I tried to photograph, and have priced accordingly. Comes with three sets of pads, each of which imparts it's own character.
- Leather outer headband
- Suede inner headband (original leather strap included)
- Auteur solid hybrid pads (installed)
- Auteur solid lambskin pads (zipper bag)
- Verité solid lambskin pads (zipper bag)
- ZMF stock cable - 6.35mm terminated
- Seahorse case
- Wooden owners card
These headphones are absolutely fantastic, but the realities of life have me using open backs these days so I can stay in touch with the environment around me.
