Classic Telefunken TH700 ortodynamic headphones from the 1970s with original box, one of their top models at the time. One of few vintage planars that sound good without any mods. Built by PMB (Peerless Mikrofon-Bau), German quality. Lightweight, only 265 g excluding cable.

Very rare in this condition. The pads have flaked but replacement pads are included.

Remarkably well-balanced, good punch. Bass goes deep and has a nice presence, midrange typically ortho articulated (strummed electric guitars are seductive), treble is rolled off, but remember that the PMB drivers has cloth glued to front and back of the drivers. This headphone has great potential for mod improvements (can't remember if I've done anything with them, has been lying in my cupboard for 10 years).

Amazing and legend. Is it hard to drive ? Looks like 600 ohms to me as most vintage cans.

Planar driver, 120 ohms. You must differ impedance from sensitivity, stock it's 90 dB/mW but with damping even lower. Very hard to drive, need a powerful amp with ample gain.
