Selling my DIY-T2. Some details:
This is the original version of the T2, later versions changed certain parts used for the build. Cosmetically it's not perfect: there's a small nick in the amp heatsink approx. 1mm in size (visible in the last pic).
Asking price includes paypal fees. I can ship the amp but considering its size & weight shipping wouldn't exactly be cheap. Would prefer local pickup (from lower Ontario, Canada) if possible. Offers are welcome.
- Resistors from Xicon or Vishay, capacitors from Wima, Nichicon, or other japanese manufacturers.
- Tubes are Mesa Boogie EL34 STR-447 (matched pairs) & Sylvania 6DJ8 (matched quad).
- Wiring is all silver plated copper, high temp PTFE coated.
- The volume knob is from Mr. Gilmore, turned from orange bocote.
- Uses the RK50 volume pot, the connecting rod from the RK50 to the volume pot is steel. Can include a delrin rod as well.
- Power cables & connectors are all amphenol, and the cables are double sleeved.
- The toroids in the PSU are from Toroidy.
- All transistors from mouser, B+D enterprises, etc.
- The case for the amp & psu are essentially identical to the original run of DIYT2s, save for the laser engravings & the power button on the front of the PSU.
- The amp & psu together weigh approx. 50lbs.
