The STAX SRS-005S MK2 (SR-003 MK2 + SRM-252S Combo Package) Electrostatic Earphone And Electrostatic Energizer is a simple system design that excels in sound quality employing the carefully selected newest high-voltage transistors and low-noise FETs. The output stage featuring the emitter-follower configuration reinforces the driving performance and also realized the smooth sound quality. Moreover, the class-A amplification throughout the stages with no coupling capacitors reproduces exhaustively the finest nuance of music. The SRS-005S MK2 includes a class-A DC amplifier (SRM-252S Amplifier) in a compact CD jacket size case and in-ear-monitors (SRM-003 MK2 Earphone), which can be used w/ or w/o head supportive light arch.
These are wonderful earphones (with dedicated amp) that will open a full new world of sonic experience if you are new to Stax. If you already have experience with electrostats - you know what to expect - supreme vocals, wide and deep soundstage, musicality. I recommend using them w/o the head arc - worked better for me. In musicality and naturalness of presenting the music/song composition they are beating up to $1000. They made me very fast to upgrade and now the collection got too big. So we are parting.
- The package / combo is in a mint condition and full;
- I am sending in the original packaging;
- Bought them less than two years ago and used them with custom tips (all tips are available but two sets are unpacked since I needed to see how is the design set up but never used the original tips because of my big earholes I need it custom tips);
- These are bought from Japan and the amp is equipped with 100V adapter and Japanese plug so you will need an adaptor for your country voltage;
- I ship only to Europe (excl. UK);
- The price of $345 is net to me - payment only by Paypal, so money transfer taxes and import taxes are paid by the buyer; the cost for shipping - depending on the country and will be split to both sides.
