I have too many closed-back headphones that aren’t being used. As such, I’m reluctantly selling my Sony MDR-Z1R. They have approx 16-20 hrs of use and are in excellent/like-new condition. The headphones come in its original boxes and hardware, including both the 6.3mm and 4.4mm balanced cables. Shipping CONUS and PayPal fees included.

Really special phone, love mine. Excellent build quality. Bass detail with a nice amp is superb. Can benefit if you play with some cable swapping. Stock cables are good quality.

These look 👀 newer than new and the price is very fair. They like getting played a lot so they should evolve and improve as they gather playtime as these are so new. They still sound excellent right out of the box.

Thanks! Yes, they sound great. More musical than my TH900mk2 and way more bass than my HD820.

Mine took close to 300 hours to settle into their final evolution (one of those burn in believers) of sound. Several of my amps were killer combos to add to the flexibility. Seems to like silver cable in my experience. Using a WireWorld Nano Platinum Eclipse cable was the best I have heard.

Reverse Question: have you ever have an opportunity to hear a Denon
AH-D7000 or any Denon in comparison to the Fostex?
