SoundSmith's original Top-of-the-Line moving iron stereo cartridge. Purchased to use while other cartridge being rebuilt. Very limited play time, less than 100 hours. Most of the sonic benefits of a moving coil cartridge, but able to play on a standard moving magnet phono stage.
Set up is very easy. I was so impressed with the cartridge that I planned to use it on my Thorens TD124, but never finished the restoration of the turntable. It has been stored for several years due to a major relocation after retirement.
This is a medium compliance cartridge that mates very well with many arms.
