For sale this superb-sounding Sennheiser HD540 Reference.

It is the much sought-after 600 Ohms version.

Made in Germany.

Comes with the original four pin DIN plug (Würfelstecker, "dice") and a 6.35mm adapter. This plug also allows the « piggyback » connection of a second headphone.

I replaced the original foam « shields » (which desintegrated) with self-made ones and I am proud of the result.

There are threads dedicated to this fantastic headphone that some consider to be the best ever made by Sennheiser after the Orpheus… That means better than (or definitely on par with) the HD600, HD650, HD800 etc.
