Up for sale is my Schiit Saga (OG) in silver. I purchased this directly from Schiit Audio as a B-Stock unit in January of 2019. I do not see any imperfections in the finish. It perfectly matches the A-stock Bifrost 2 it was paired with and it has performed flawlessly for the duration I've used it. I'm only selling it because I have recently upgraded to a Freya+ to run mono blocks.

For the uninitiated the Schiit Saga is the Single Ended baby brother of the OG Freya. It is one of the most transparent preamps on the market (more so than the Freya). If you want a preamp with remote controlled volume that won't color the other gear in your chain, this is a really good option. In my experience it builds a nice wide soundstage versus using something passive like a Schiit Sys.

The Saga will come with all of the original packaging, power cord, remote control, and a Tung Sol 6SN7 which was an upgrade over the NOS Russian option offered at the time.

The original (OG) Saga differs from the new Saga+ in the following ways:

1. Saga+ has a motorized volume pot that tracks with the remote control volume, whereas OG Saga's knob doesn't move when you're using the remote.
2. Saga+ uses DC heaters for the tube buffer stage. Schiit claims this provides a lower noise floor when the tube buffer is engaged.
3. Saga+ uses a new “fastenerless” chassis design so you don't see screws on the top of the cover.
4. Saga+ comes with an all aluminum remote control vs a plastic model. If you must have the aluminum remote, they are $18 plus tax and shipping from Schiit. Or I could sell you a spare aluminum remote I purchased from Schiit for the good guy price of $15.
